What type of Carriage Homes does Asbury offer?
Asbury offers maintenance-free, one-floor living in two- and three-bedroom Carriage Homes.
If I don’t purchase a meal plan can I still eat in Asbury’s main Dining Room?
Yes, the meal will be charged to your monthly bill.
Are Asbury’s independent services and amenities available to Carriage Home residents also?
Yes. All independent resident services and amenities are available to Carriage Home residents.

Do the Carriage Homes have an emergency call system?
Yes. Carriage Home residents wear a spyder alert pendant which they can press to summon nursing personnel 24-hours a day in the case of an emergency.
What type of transportation is available to Carriage Home residents?
In addition to Port Authority Transit buses that make regularly scheduled stops on the grounds, Asbury provides mini buses that make scheduled trips to shopping malls, supermarkets and restaurants as well as sightseeing and entertainment destinations. The vans may also be reserved for personal medical appointments on selected days.
What type of Medical Care does Asbury Heights offer?
Asbury Heights has health care professionals – including geriatricians – who see residents in the Asbury Heath and Wellness Center on the main campus. In addition, we offer a full range of laboratory and X-ray procedures on site. Residents can choose to work with our health care team, or our staff can coordinate your care with your personal physician. Also, a team of medical specialists has hours in our Health and Wellness Center.
What if I need assistance with my medication in the future?
For those who are able to remain independent but need an extra hand, Asbury presents the STAY program. An acronym for Support and Timely Attention for You, STAY nurses provide Asbury Heights independent living residents with in-home assistance including medication management, wound care and increased care during an illness or after a hospital stay.
What if I need a higher level of care?
Asbury Heights offers residents a continuum of care including assisted living/personal care, nursing and rehabilitative care and specialty Alzheimer’s care. Independent living residents needing additional assistance can transition into a higher level of care without leaving the campus.
If I run out of money will I be asked to leave Asbury’s campus?
No. Once a resident is approved for admission, they will NEVER be asked to leave the Asbury community because they’ve spent down their resources.
