Amenities

Asbury provides 24-hour security, an on-site medical center, housekeeping services and other important amenities. At Asbury, you’ll have access to the programs and services offered on campus and in the nearby neighborhoods of Mt. Lebanon and the City of Pittsburgh. Asbury is most proud of its Health & Wellness Center staffed by board-certified, fellowship-trained geriatricians. At Asbury Heights, there’s something for everyone.

Mall

There’s no reason to leave our campus when our indoor, skylight mall has so many conveniences available to you. This gathering place includes a café, beauty salon, barber shop, post office, library, and chapel. Park benches, foliage and an intimate aviary help bring the outdoors into Asbury.

Transportation

Residents can take advantage of our transportation fleet to visit other parts of the campus or to enjoy scheduled trips to local attractions, supermarkets, shopping malls and restaurants. You may also reserve these shuttles for personal medical appointments. Our CAR (Chauffeur At Request) is available for nearby trips with only several hours notice as long as the request does not interfere with the established schedule. No need to worry about driving in bad weather or traffic!

Health & Wellness

Asbury Heights has medical and health care professionals that include primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, podiatrists, dentists, psychiatrists, audiologists, ophthalmologists, and board-certified, fellowship-trained geriatricians who see our long-term care residents in the Health & Wellness Center.

In addition, Asbury has a skilled team of physical, occupational and speech therapists, and we offer a full range of laboratory and X-ray procedures on site.

There is no comparison to having a medical clinic staffed by UPMC-affiliated, board-certified geriatricians onsite and available to residents. You can choose to work with our health care team, or we can coordinate your care with your personal physician, including transportation to off-site medical appointments. Our team will be there for you when you need them.

Fitness

It’s important to stay active. Residents of Asbury Heights have access to our Fitness Center seven days a week. Complete with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment designed specifically for older adults, our Fitness Center accommodates individual and group fitness programming.

Our exercise program fosters independence, functionality and strength for as long as possible. Circuits are done with specially trained staff nearby to offer one-on-one assistance and feedback, which ensures user safety and positive results.

For those who prefer them, a variety of group exercise programs are available.

Spiritual Services

Asbury Heights offers non-denominational services in its on-site chapel and provides transportation to neighborhood churches. Pastoral Care is offered through Asbury’s Chaplain.

A Roman Catholic priest regularly visits Asbury to conduct Mass, and Eucharistic Ministers distribute Communion weekly.

Jewish Holy Days are remembered for residents of the Jewish faith.

Residents at our senior living communities also are welcome to invite their own clergy to conduct services at Asbury Heights.
