Meeting friends and staying active is built into the Asbury culture.
Whether it’s learning a new skill, hearing from a riveting speaker or engaging in a favorite pastime, our activities schedule has something for everyone. You can play bridge, participate in cooking and baking classes, go on shopping excursions, enjoy arts and crafts or celebrate big at a neighbor’s birthday party.
There’s always something to do at Asbury!
Spring Lane and Laurel Lane Activities
At the Spring Lane (Personal Care) and Laurel Lane (Memory Support) communities of Asbury Heights, we keep the brain and body active by having fun! We incorporate new and interesting programs as well as keep up with old favorites. We focus on what you can do, rather than what you can no longer do, concentrating on cognitive and physical activities.
Stimulation is important at every age. Our activities promote recreation, health and happiness.
Healthy aging is a focus throughout the Asbury campus, and at Asbury Villas an active lifestyle is all about maintaining connections – both old and new.
At the Villas, you can choose from a wide range of activities based on your interests and abilities. You’ll meet new friends and learn new skills and be part of a community that cares about you, meets your needs and celebrates your achievements.
At Asbury Place, we provide memory support and enjoyable activities, designed to meet the interests and needs of our residents, every day of the week.
We focus on one-to-one interaction and incorporate indoor and outdoor activities in both large or small group settings. Many of our programs are centered around music. For example, every Friday afternoon a musical entertainer performs and invites resident participation through singing, dancing or playing musical instruments.
Other activities include baking, crafts, spiritual worship, exercise, word and board games and a weekly outing to nearby communities.
Our expert staff provides a compassionate and cheerful environment for our residents and their families.
